How to create and change palette’s passwords

This article will help you to configure new users and even change password of existing users in order to block library palette and configuration modifications.

This resource enables the blocking of changes on both: configurations and components library, allowing to restrict changes to components standards and configurations to a user that’s just visualizing the content. This avoids future problems with incorrect registered components causing errors in projects.

Change palette’s password

1. Go to Manage tab;

2. Click in Palettes’s Password;

3. n the displayed window, fill the two first fields with the standard QC user;

QC’s standard password is “admin” with an empty password field.

4. Fill the two new password fields;

5. Click OK to save changes.

It’s required to restart the program to apply the changes.

Create a new user…

1. Go to Manage tab;

2. Click in Palette’s Password;

3. Click in Advanced…;

4. Fill in the standard user’s data;

5. Click the “+” symbol to add a new user;

6. Insert the user’s name in the prompted field;

7. Click OK to save the new user’s creation changes;

8. Conclude clicking in OK.
