This article will help you to properly install QC. If you have not downloaded QC’s installer yet, click the image bellow.

Authorize the installation…

1. Double click on the installer;

It can show a pop up like the figure bellow. If not, go to the next step.

2. In the blue screen, click on “More information”

The window will be expanded and show up a new button.

3. Click on the button “Run anyway”


You need to be the system administrator or have administrator like permissions to completely install QC.

Install QC…

First, the installation will load some space requirements and make some verifications.

1. Wait a moment while QC makes some checks;

Soon after, QC will enable the Next button, just like the image bellow;

2. Click in Next;

3. Read the info about the licensing agreement and enable the “I accept the terms of the Licensing Agreement” box;

4. Click Next;

5. Select the module accordingly to your license;


If you acquired, for instance, QC Designer, select that module. If you have no license and wan’t to use QC for an evaluation period, you can select the Professional module.

6. Click Next;

An intallation path will be requested. You can leave the default path filled.

7. Click Next;

8. Click Install;

The installation process can be seen through the progress bar.

The program will be installed and the following completion message will be seen.

9. Click Finish.


You can leave the option “Start QC with an example project after finishing installation” enabled, if you want to see an electrical project made with QC.

To open QC an activation mode is required. We shall see more about this now!

If you need to share your components, sheets and projects with other designers, you’ll need a compatible database. The database installed with QC (LocalDB) can’t be shared, but you may be able to do so (By migrating it to SQL).
